The Coli is so sensitive nowadays. nikkas whining about violent music like 90s rap wasn't violent. Old nikkas hatin
They’ll cash out on this and when they start making their own original music they’ll fall off. People were getting on Saweetie for pretty much just rapping over old beats. This ain’t much different

My logic is not off. By some of y’all logic in this thread this song is not hip hop at all.
Its r&b and shouldn’t be considered hip hop

But to make that statement about the Biggie song would be considered crazy. Well it’s the same shyt with these dudes. They are rappers that flipped a r&b track and sung on it with traditional rap content. That’s what Biggie did and his shyt is hip hop like they shyt is.

Its always gonna be associated with hip hop. That’s why whenever a hip hop artist goes outside their lane, they add the word “rap” to the genre name. “Pop rap” “rap rock” etc

Almost every hip hop artist sings now. Most people still consider their shyt hip hop because of the obvious influence.

There are 5 elements of Hip-Hop - FACT, NOT OPINION

1. B-Boying AKA Breakdancing
2. Writing BKA Graffiti
3. MCing AKA Rapping
4. DJing/Turntables
5. Beatboxing

3, 4, and 5 are musical in nature. This song contains none of these, and is not even over a Hip-Hop/ Rap oriented beat. Explain how this is Hip-Hop?

Hey Ya and Playa Hater are non Hip-Hop songs on Hip-Hop albums by Hip-Hop artists. Double Burger ducked my Kid Rock example, but again, if he started with this:

Than THESE are Hip-Hop? That is basically what your logic is saying.

Exactly. It’s not black or white. There is definitely a gray area. Black on Both Sides has two songs with no rapping, but it’s a rap album unquestionably. But with something like The Love Below, Lauryns album or Missy’s first album where at best half the songs have rapping, at best you could call it a hybrid album. All three are obviously hip hop artists, but that doesn’t make everything they do rap or hip hop.

Translation: My pride won't let me take my L despite the facts laid out, so I will deflect.

It's okay, breh. There's nothing wrong with standing corrected. It's not like this is real life and we'll look down on you.
