Just got an email today saying I will be having to go back into the office late April :why:

Do I find another job or deal with this 1 hour commute each way? :francis:

:francis:I don’t even remember what commuting to work even feels like. Good luck fam.

I probably work more at home to be quite honest. Because I don't want to lose this perk :heh:

Facts. I work more from home since I leave my computer on well after 5:00pm to handle any outstanding issues. Not having to deal with a commute makes it easier :ehh:. Pre-Pandemic, niccas was just going to have to wait the following business day :umad:

Gas alone is a bill. Hour of driving. Let’s say it’s all highway. You still looking at 60 miles. 120 a day. Two fill ups a week. 8 a month. That’s a damn light bill. Not to mention wear and tear

For 2 1/2 weeks I'm busting my ass and working longer hours than I did at work.

For 1 1/2 weeks I don't gotta really do shyt. Just keep my mouse on top of a clear drinking glass so my PC stays active all day.

I do finance in the health care industry.

The biggest perk is finally being able to max out my PTO and using the extras towards an end of the year PTO cashout.

Not doing it now, but there seems to be a campus/company-wide change to where WFH is now optional for those who can do their jobs away from home.

When I was WFH, I found that most 9-5 type jobs... the day's work can typically be done in 3-5 hours with sustained focus and hitting a groove. Beyond that, all you really have to do was be "accessible" on some level during normal business hours (phone, email, etc.) and have your shyt done when it needs to be done.

American workweek is a sham.

I don't trade PTO for cash since they only pay 90 cents on the dollar, plus it's taxed on top of that to Bolivia.

They let us put excess PTO into our retirement, which means no tax implications.

We get our full pay for PTO, but I think it does get taxed as a bonus check.

In the past, I've used extra PTO to cover medical benefit elections. But I got small kids right now so I need that Christmas money at the moment.

I have work experience in IT now so i'll probably get more hits but man that was some bullshyt :francis:
Your resume needs rework probably. Take a weekend to knock it out.
