Replying to a text you thought was an individual text but it's a group text unappreciation

I hate doing this..its not the first time this has happened. I responded to a text from a friend and I thought it was just her sending it to me only. Some harmless shyt saying "Happy Friday". Usual cheerful shyt from her happy pleasant ass. So I reply back "you too. I'm off 4 come thru fa happy hr at xxxxx ". Now I'm getting replies back "who you"....."do I know you"..." what area code is 862“.. etc and I'm like

i dont understand how these work.


so someone can send a text to me with a bunch of other people BCC'ed on the text. but i cant tell who any of the other recipients are...and i cant even tell if the text was even sent to other people.

then when i reply to the text, it replies to everyone without any way of me knowing?
