The only time the Hard Knocks series has featured a team twice was when the cameras returned to Dallas in 2008 after first featuring the Cowboys in 2002. Now, NFL Films reportedly is set to make a repeat appearance in Cincinnati.
According to a now-deleted tweet from the Philadelphia Daily News and a confirmation from Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Hard Knocks will, once again, feature the Bengals.
It's an interesting move, because coach Marvin Lewis hasn't seemed keen on the idea of a repeat performance from the 2009 season in which my favorite-ever Hard Knocks clip was filmed (FYI, there's cursing in the video). As Reedy explains, coach Marvin Lewis has been leery of making a return, but with a young team and a more mature locker room, this might be a good time to do it again.

According to the Enquirer, an official announcement from HBO should be forthcoming in the next week or two.
