That boy is really trying to follow Farve's career. Now all he needs to do is get traded next year.

Unfortunately for Manziel, Favre wasn't a running QB so he knew how to move in the pocket. Favre also had a thunderous arm to make up for his pea sized brain. In comparison all Johnny has is a quick release and great mobility. While these are good tools, they aren't as important as pocket presence and arm strength imho.

I'm glad, hopefully last year and them last few games were a wake up call.

I'm hoping he'll get serious. Unlike Josh Gordon I think Johnny really loves football and doesn't want to end up like Vince Young or Jamarcus Russell

Josh Gordan has more hope because he's already performed at a top 10 WR level. Manziel has no such background or history.I don't think Manziel has the makeup to overcome his faults with respects to playing the QB position. He's a Ryan Leaf type bust. Gordan, meanwhile, just has to cut down on the smoking/drinking and learn to love football again. At that point he'll automatically enter top 10 WR territory.

The way for Manziel to be successful is for him to go to rehab, start caring, and then whatever team he is on in a year or two try to model their offense after Seattle and try to get Manziel to play under more control like Russell Wilson. The model for him is RW. Similar skill set and arm ability...the difference the study of RW and the control vs JM being a fire it up and see what happens guy.

A lot of guys have the ability but the light never comes on until it is too late.
