Jr Basically an expiring contract this season. His salary next season is no guaranteed, I understand the strategy as cap relief. It just doesn’t make us better.

He wouldn’t finish games so there’s no risk there.

At this point in their respective careers I dont know what you get from JR that you cant get from Gerald Green

Ariza + Mbah Moute leaving and having to choose between a washed Melo, a washed JR and an overpaid Bazemore as replacements....yikes

Aside from resigning Capela & CP3 (a contract that 2 yrs from now will probably be viewed in a negative light) its been a rough off season for Houston
