I think you’re mistaken. The New Testament is so small and so vague Christians can mould it into whatever they like. Remember that Jews in the 1st Century AD were subject to Rome, Jesus wasn’t calling for revolution he was in fact saying pay your taxes and be a law abiding citizens & you’ll be rewarded in the next life.
Islam is completely different. The Quran is believed to be the literal word of God. God is all knowing and eternal, what he commanded in 632 is just as relevant in 2019. To pick and choose in Islam negates the whole religion because if God can be wrong on one thing why can’t he be on other things?
