Him running for the repub nom doesnt hurt Trump at all. Going independent will....he's attention whoring, distancing himself from Trump to repair his imagine post 2020 election.

It actually does. Every incumbent (well in the last century) challenged by their own party has lost the general. I’m here for candidates challenging trump. They won’t win the nomination but it’s enough turmoil to erode support, especially if independents decide to split from voting for trump.
