Like I said before: meanwhile college-educated employees with good jobs or those with extra money get to invest in a stock market with constant dips that is ready to fly.

Trump is making the rich get richer (many are immigrants who have well-off families) and the poor get poorer (his voter base). It’ll show up big when he leaves office and stocks really fly because those who could afford to at the time punched in with extra money during dips.

Those too poor to invest, they going to miss out on the generational run. If only things weren’t so expensive and policy wasn’t working against these people. Now Republicans want to empty more pockets with crazy healthcare bill they want to pass. Again, that will not hit those with higher salaries that badly because they can afford it still.

It’s funny how they’ve convinced people this isn’t the case because they know how to use racism to bypass any kind of sane thinking. All they got to do is point to Kundar pushing his Tesla with a European wife because he got rich off of NVIDIA stock dips that he could afford to buy. They know that the voter base will get triggered and re-elect them. They then keep grift going saying they’ll “fix” something they have no intention of addressing.

These people don’t realize Republicans are creating their “problem” in order to get more votes so they can keep flying around everywhere and going to ballroom events. They’re keeping their own down for a reason. Again, the money isn’t in the vaccine, it’s in the disease.

All true I just think Republicans overplayed their hand with this one for years to come.

I'm pretty sure we're going to see a spectacular stock market crash before his term ends. Central banks are already getting nervous.

The one thing that's been very telling about this whole SNAP situation due to the shutdown is how, outside of a few, most of the Republicans in Congress have been very quiet about this issue, which IMO shows the disconnect.

Trump and his administration seem to be adamant about using Americans going hungry as political leverage against the Democrats, but something tells me most of the GOP in Congress are not exactly supporters of this tactic because it's bad optics, but are too afraid to say something because they don't want to lose their seats by challenging Trump's perspective.

As much as Republicans over the decades, dating back to Regan have all had their qualms about the Food Stamp/SNAP program but, none of them ever went this far in using people going hungry as political leverage nor have ever seek to hypothetically do away with Food Stamps/SNAP all together because they all knew it'd be bad optics and a losing battle that has too many legal and political repercussions.

That's a prime example of how, in modern times, Trump is arguably the most cruel and evil president compared to past Republican presidents. Think about it, a president fighting to starve the American people for political gain, 'cause that's what this is all about. From his perspective, if he's forced to make full SNAP payments, then he'd lose whatever leverage he feels he has against Democrats.

Worth noting that republicans lost the White House for 25 years after their tariff fukkery helped sput the Great Depression. They also only won congress two times in 60 years after that. It's partially why both parties avoided uber protectionist trade war bullshyt or big tariffs for decades.

They said that the first time

This happened in 2009. Obama won and right after he was sworn in, they started the tea party and blamed Obama for trying to sort through the mess Bush created.

Hopefully things will be different because Republicans run everything. I wouldn’t hold my breath though.

Is anyone familiar with their local food bank? The lines were always like this. I would have never believed it until I saw it myself.

As long as they get to see the brown people getting thrown into cars with cuffs on them

As long as they see less black faces on TV representing positions of power.

As long as they never hear "pronouns" and "they/them" again

They do not care. They will have considered his presidency a success. It genuinely surprises me how much people underestimate the role the racial contract in america

And the value our racial caste system has to whites and aspirational whites(Asians, Latin people)

White people will accept suffering, they will accept poverty but they WILL NOT accept equality. The concept of a "red state"--one which despite clear, measurable evidence of decline under republican rule continues to keep electing those same republicans, should be proof positive of the role that racial hegemony plays in this country. White people are inundated from cradle to grave with propaganda that minimizes the achievements and struggles of other groups while maximizing their own. Theyre taught to believe that living in america is a privilege one has to deserve(unless they are white) and the face of everything unpleasant (crime, poverty, violence) is not white.

They truly believe that they are the only "real" americans and everyone else is a freeloader trying to take advantage of them. White supremacy is america's load bearing lie that maintains white unity. With it gone, they'll tear each other apart over subtle differences because they have been raised to value hatred as an emotion. If that hatred isnt directed at other racial groups, it will then become directed at Jewish whites, whites of immigrant stock, whites who have a different set of political beliefs, female whites who dare to demand the same rights as men, their own children who dont want to be treated as property, etc. Just like in Europe. When they didnt have jews, Muslims, or anyone else to use as a scapegoat, thats when they started having literal witch hunts and started accusing each other of demonic possession. They had to do something with the blood lust their leaders had cultivated over generations to maintain unity and personal power.
