I was in love with this woman back in 2002. She was the most gorgeous chick in the game back then. :banderas: Plus the music was dope.



Label politics did a number on her. Didn't know how to market her properly and I remember reading interviews from her around that time talking about how little money she was making from making music.

Ironically, Kweli probably kept her career afloat for all them years they were still cool and recording as Idle Warship, cuz she was a complete afterthought in the industry as a solo artist by the mid-late 2000s.

Timing is everything. She dropped her debut too early. Same dude that produced her album did Weeknd's Trilogy.
