Resident Evil 7 GameStop USA Collector’s Edition Revealed
Today, GameStop USA revealed an exclusive collector’s edition for Resident Evil 7.

Available only at GameStop, the edition is listed at $179.99 USD and is available on both PS4 and Xbox One.

It comes with the following:

  • Resident Evil 7 biohazard Base Game
  • Mansion Music Box (8” Tall) that plays a sample of Aunt Rhody with accompanying LED effects.
  • Dummy Finger 4G USB Drive
  • Exclusive Metal Case
  • VHS Tape Box
  • Exclusive Lithograph
  • Creepy Note
  • Premium Packaging
The following blurb accompanies the listing:

The Resident Evil 7 Collector’s Edition brings horror home. Full of unique goodies with models based on items and locations from Resident Evil 7 biohazard, this Collector’s Edition is sure to be the centerpiece of any fan’s collection.

The standout of course is the model replica Baker mansion standing at 8″ in height, 7.5″ in length, and 8.5″ in depth, doubling as a music box that plays a familiar tune with accompanying LED effects. This is also your chance to own the dummy finger, the very same one that has haunted fans since the game’s announcement. That’s not all, though; also included is a metal case for the game, a lithograph showcasing the Baker family in all their mystique, a video tape box for the dummy finger, and a creepy note from one of the mansion’s residents.

The Collector’s Edition will (obviously) release alongside the game on January 24, 2017.

Is Resident Evil 7 Slated for a Fall 2015 Release?
BY BRIAN SHARON ON MARCH 25, 2015CONSOLE, NEWS, NEWS, PC, PS3 / PS4, XBOX 360 / XBOX ONE
Survival horror fans hold on to your seats, because Resident Evil 7 could reportedly be released as early as this Fall.

Earlier today SuperDataReasearch published a report covering the financial status of digital content in the games industry thus far in 2015, observing and commenting on current trends, while also predicting future ones.

In the closing paragraph, headlined “outlook”, the article alludes to the promises that 2015 holds – including one not yet announced.

We anticipate this month’s downturn to level off during the coming few months, following a regular seasonal pattern but expect to see an upswing as the next editions of several major franchises like Halo and Resident Evil come out in the2015 fall season.

At this point, it’s uncertain whether or not this information is built of insider knowledge, or speculation. It is also important to note that very few details exist regarding Resident Evil 7, with no launch date remotely in sight.

Yet this could be a potential red herring, and wind up being some variety of remaster or spin-off. Although, Capcom’s other current entry in the Resident Evil franchise, Revelations 2, has just concluded the breadth of its episodic release schedule, largely ruling it out of the mix.

Even after buying part 6 for FIVE bucks new I couldn't get through..it was fukking awful.

I would take a Resident Evil 2 Remaster over a new one any day at this point. :yeshrug:

I had faith for Revelations 2 because part 1 was great on the 3DS, but the graphics and gameplay looked:scust:.
