Council objects to image because of the ‘offensive’ depiction of a ‘near-naked woman.’

An Australian street artist threatened with a fine over a provocative mural of U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton responded by clothing her in a niqab instead.
The Maribyrnong council in the city of Melbourne took issue with the mural, spray-painted on the side of a scooter shop, of Clinton in a revealing red, white and blue swimsuit with dollar bills tucked into it, telling artist Lushsux residents had complained. The shop was also threatened with a fine.
Instead of removing the mural, Lushsux covered the swimsuit by painting a niqab, a type of face covering worn by Muslim women, over the top of it, leaving only Clinton’s eyes visible. Next to his work, he painted the message: “If this Muslim woman offends u, u r a bigot, racist, sexist Islamophobe.”
The council said original mural contravened its gender equity policy. “This mural is offensive because of the depiction of a near-naked woman, not on the basis of disrespect to Hillary Clinton,” said Chief Executive Stephen Wall.
The latest tweet from the artist shows someone painting over the entire depiction.

too much creative licence in the first one...i doubt reality would match the artists perception....and its a bit too much for a public space
