Revisiting Kendrick's verse on Control. Has there ever been another moment like that?

How often does someone like Phil Jackson respond to a rap verse?

I don't know who Phil Jackson is, Ill look him up tho.

Eminem has created alot of bewildering moments in rap. Name dropping outright

Similar to Kendrick's control "moment" I find are
- Bridge is over
- Nas, Jay battle
- Cormega fukk Nas diss
- Tupac Biggie beef

There were crazier moments.

Modern times what Kendrick did on control was very significant tho.

My bad. I misread it. I don't think there has been a moment since.

Other than Eminem's Tupac Puff reference on Killshot.

:heh: whats funny is Soul did similar way back on LongTerm 3, but TDE/he wasn't a big enough blip on the radar to create waves.

"Hell yeah, we been patrolling the game
Watching the throne, plotting on Jay and Kanye
Marshall and Andre,
Lil Wayne, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Wale,
That bytch Nikki, J Cole, Rozay....."

The media/blogs really pushed this like it was a thing when it wasn't a big deal at all

Like 99% of Kendrick's career it wasn't an orgainic moment

K-Dot has a powerful machine behind him and this situation was a good example of that

It was a thing because it had gotten to point in rap where everybody was buddy buddy, collabing, dancing, focused on who has more money, etc. There was no sense of competition or anybody actually trying to be better than everybody else. It was only a big deal cause he mentioned names at a time everybody was always sending subs but wouldn't say who they are competing with... Everybody got emo and felt it was a "diss" when it wasn't... I enjoyed it and it was definitely a moment
