So im rewriting my resume using chat gpt and a couple other tools. im running through it. Alot of truth, some of it being stretched

Have yall ever had a previous coworker, or recruiter/hiring manager call your bluff for your resume achievements?

Also i have a gap in my work history, where i wasnt doing anything in my field that im currently in. How would yall describe that? I put that i was a freelance worker, which aint true, but i figure no one can actually verify that

If its a technical position, the stretches will be discovered during the panel interview. Proficient doesnt mean you know what it is. Proficient means hands on experience.

No one has ever called my bluff because I could demonstrate my knowledge.

If you can't do that off the cuff, don't lie about it.

If you have a gap and it falls around Covid, just say you got laid off.

OR just say you worked for a staffing agency.
Or just Ask ChatGPT to write around your gap, come on man use that thing

I mean, as long as you can talk/demonstrate your way through anything on your resume, you should be good. I've said I had experience in PySpark, which was very minimal, but was able to talk through the high level architecture of a project in some cases. And if they call your bluff, you probably have 5 other job interviews that won't.

Same here. Some shyt you just can't make up. Do not LIE on your resumes. You can embellish a bit, but that's as far as it goes. Don't claim to be a Solutions Engineer when you were Tier 1 Helpdesk.

i have gaps in my resume. me and a few friends with this problem sat down and filled in each others gaps

by that i mean we have fake agencies/businesses and use each other as references. make sure you get those dates right

and dont go overboard with the lies if you decide to go this route. its one thing to explain a 6-7 month gap in employment, its another thing entirely to BS and say you have a masters degree that you dont
