That's how Conrad Thompson got to cozy up to Ric.. he's a money mark who runs a mortgage company and my guess is he helped Ric out of some financial trouble and they became "best friends" - I remember on one of the podcast's Ric said he's known Conrad about 3-4 years. That's right around the time he was reportedly running into really big financial trouble
