As someone who got into wrestling fairly late(early 2000's), i missed a rather large chunk of wrestlers careers. People like Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair. Steamboat etc. Out of interest can you guys tell me which match is Ric Flairs greatest?

His 3 match set in 1989 with Ricky Steamboat considered by many to be the greatest trilogy in wrestling history - (Chi-Town Rumble,Clash of the Champions IV, Wrestle War)

Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan - Bash at the Beach 1994

The 92' Rumble is a great example of Naitch's AND Bobby Heenan greatness. GOAT Rumble imo.

As far as singles matches....damn breh, there's way too much piff involving Flair. In the last few years I've been watching a ton of 80's matches and Ric never fails to deliver.

Overall, I'd say his greatest matches were against Steamboat and Windham. The 5 matches against Ricky in 89' (ChiTown Rumble, Clash IV, Wrestlewar and 2 house shows in Philly and Landover) are all pure piff. The Battle of The Belts 86' match against Windham is fukking amazing too.

But again, he just has an incredibly big catalog of classic matches with very different opponents. Off the top of my head I could name the Starrcade 93' Vader match, the Starrcade 88' Luger match, the 85' match against Wahoo MacDaniel, there's an awesome 2/3 falls match against Bruiser Brody but I can't remember the date (83' or 84'). He tore shyt up in Texas against the Von Erich's and scrubs like Chris Adams....and I could go on and on

fukk, there's a super fun match against Jake The Snake in 85' that is impossible not to be entertained with.

All in all. Naitch is probably the GOAT in ring performer from the US along with Terry Funk, Benoit and Jerry Lawler.

go to rfvideo and get:

the best of flair
flair vs steamboat

it will have his matches that will give you a bit of a headstart.

plus will enable you to figure out who you liked to see ric inring with the most to add to your collection.

after that,..try to get any flair/windham matches.'

as honestly windham was such a great worker when he came in the nwa.

it was ridiculous how great the outcomes were.

really you could watch any ric match and not be disappointed.

plus his matches or body of work will give you the biggest enjoyment.

as he has crazy moments as the greatest bad guy of my gen on weekly television.

nobody made you as disgusted as flair,...while, secretly building the greatest face sentimental connection that could be exploited ever.

on the best of flair tape,...note flair as a babyface vs funk.

ric was so good it only took one beatdown.

to make you care for him like he never did any wrong.

when he was the worst,.....i mean the baddest evilest sumb!tch who was on tv.
