The 92' Rumble is a great example of Naitch's AND Bobby Heenan greatness. GOAT Rumble imo.
As far as singles matches....damn breh, there's way too much piff involving Flair. In the last few years I've been watching a ton of 80's matches and Ric never fails to deliver.
Overall, I'd say his greatest matches were against Steamboat and Windham. The 5 matches against Ricky in 89' (ChiTown Rumble, Clash IV, Wrestlewar and 2 house shows in Philly and Landover) are all pure piff. The Battle of The Belts 86' match against Windham is fukking amazing too.
But again, he just has an incredibly big catalog of classic matches with very different opponents. Off the top of my head I could name the Starrcade 93' Vader match, the Starrcade 88' Luger match, the 85' match against Wahoo MacDaniel, there's an awesome 2/3 falls match against Bruiser Brody but I can't remember the date (83' or 84'). He tore shyt up in Texas against the Von Erich's and scrubs like Chris Adams....and I could go on and on
fukk, there's a super fun match against Jake The Snake in 85' that is impossible not to be entertained with.
All in all. Naitch is probably the GOAT in ring performer from the US along with Terry Funk, Benoit and Jerry Lawler.
