Interesting to hear the names Mike Bibby and Latrell Sprewell.
Bibby, not really. I watched him in Atlanta, one of the smartest players I've ever seen play Basketball. He always knew where everything, everyone and how to get the best efficient look before analytics was anything for his teammates. He really was effective when his talent level was clearly waning.
Spree for me was a surprise. I never took him as a dummy but never knew he was that type of player.
Some other players are Al Horford and Rondo for me.
Your going to laugh but an extremely smart player was Josh Smith but he has some key issues. He could understand, know where everyone is suppose to be, understand sets and plays and recognize is quicker and better than anyone including Bibby and Horford. But he couldn't improvise and his decision making and his belief in his own game is unprecedentedly terrible. It's like how can someone which such amazing BBIQ and even academic success be such a dummy and lacking understanding of his own game with video and other stats which say otherwise. He is the most weird player I've seen in the NBA ever. Even moreso than Rondo who also is up there. The 2004 HS class came with a lot of questions marks from top to bottom.
