50 was good enough from 2002-2005.
But, even by the end of 2005, you could see the hype dying down quick.
Game and Jadakiss dissed him so badly that his aura as the Boogeyman Of Rap was dead and people started seeing that he got lucky dissing Ja Rule in 2002 where there was Ja Fatigue and peak Eminem was backing him.
After 2005, things took a turn for the worst. 50 kept saying Game was "over" after leaving G-Unit........then Game went number 1 with a good album again with DA. Banks dropped his 2nd album....it bricked hard and made no noise outside of the Saint Row song. Bucks dropped his 2nd album and that flopped even harder. And nobody wanted no damn 2nd Yayo album.

So, it was up to 50 to keep G Unit alive and he himself was dead in the water and he tried to use beef to help him out only to get out trolled by Camron and outsold by Kanye.
I remember when 50 tried to bait Wayne for clout prior to Ross too.

50 went on a full interview circuit straight dissing Wayne with a full on diss track and Wayne only made an obscure one-line diss back to him on a mixtape and moved on. I know that must've hurt 50's ego to see Wayne at his absolute peak treat him like Aries Spears in 2025 and deny him the chance to use beef with him to help his next rollout.
By the time 50 beefed with Ross, he was totally washed. Even going number 1 on an Eminem comeback single couldn't stop BISD from being neck to beck with Deeper Than Rap in sales.
Yeah....the Banks diss was dope and 50's exposure and trolling of Ross was sorta funny for its time but, by 2010, 50 was ice cold while Ross was entering a new prime. Nobody cared about Ross being a (former) CO when Teflon Don was better than any Curtis album since 2003.
