Yeh I stayed out there with my girls fam for a few weeks in 2016. Stayed in Bulawayo, never made it to Harare but Victoria falls was amazing.

Quick story about my trip to Vic falls. We went with my girls fam and rented a combi (mini bus) to take the 8 hour drive.

I don't think the police were being paid at the time so every 10/20 miles the cops would set up Road blocks and demand little bribes if you wanted to pass, they'd pull you on bullshyt like not having a radio license :pachaha:. There strapped but somewhat friendly they just tryna make ends meet.

Anyway we must have been driving for like 6 hours or so, pretty much everyone but the driver fell asleep. We're in the wilderness so it's pitch black outside
next thing you know all I can hear is shouting, and lights being flashed inside the van nikkas is like wtf is going on I look outside and it's some army dudes all strapped up telling us to get off the bus.

Am like ahhh shyt, ppl telling me don't speak to them because of my accent etc am thinking we about to get dirtnapped.

Anyway when I get off the bus it's some young girl in a red dress looking like Alice from resident evil running the show some weird ass shyt. As im sitting at the side of the road i look up and ive never seen so many stars before rhe sky was so clear you could see what i assume were satellites moving acceoss the sky.

We were sidelined for a while because my girls fam wouldnt pay the bribe and eventually they let us go so we hit the road again
, bout an hour later an Impala darts in front the van the driver tries to swerve but my girls dad grabs the wheel, he's like HIT IT!!! :russ:.

Jumps out put it out it's misery :bustback:then throws that bytch in the back for later:eat: we drive for a bit longer then pull-up to a lodge where we spend the night. When I wake up in the morning my son and his cousins aint in the lodge I go look outside and they playing with monkeys like this

I look a bit further out there's Giraffes walking around the place I clock were in a national park so anything could be out there lurking. Later on we took a drive and saw some other shyt like crocodiles african dogs etc.

Whats dope about zimbabwe is that everything was natural. I've been to Niagra falls and it's obviously impressive but the area is built up and touristy. Victoria falls and the area around it is as nature intended it to be.

And it’s stories like these(and many others) that turn me off from ever wanting to visit. Things were completely out of your control, you couldn’t even speak lest it put you in more danger due to your accent. Sh*t could’ve went left soo easily. Idk man I just have a fear of that type of sh*t happening when visiting another country/continent. I’m good. I’ll let y’all (and Ross) tell me how beautiful it is. I’ve lived in Jamaica part of my childhood and even still I am very wary when visiting. That’s the only nation I’m willing to visit and put myself in that type of danger. Mainly because of my love for the country and my family. It’s “home”. If something happens to me there, it’d have been worth the risk. But Africa? Colombia? Brazil? Mexico? Y’all can have them joints. I’ll live vicariously through y’all when it comes to them. Just a fear I’ve always had :hubie:

I aint gone lie I was shook before I went, I'd recommend anyone travelling to know some locals before they touch down. In spite of this the general public were very accomadting they dont have that blood lust that certain countries have. South Africa on the other hand the amount of crazy shyt I saw or heard about in such a short space of time my head was on constant swivel

Norfeast groovin…
You made me google the original name.

You make a good point.
They should use the original names for all these landmarks.

It’s only right. I figure they probably tell you once and then go back to the colonized name. I’d real live tell them to only refer to the Falls and any other landmark by its real name.

I was in Mombasa once at a resort. I walked the beach at night and it was a clear sky. I’ve never seen the sky like that before. It looked like you could reach out and touch the stars.

The amount of detail you are able to see is something else. Like you can make out the spiral arm of where we sit in the galaxy.

I was drunk so I just laid down on the beach and gazed at the stars for hours till I fell asleep. I still vividly remember that night.

if he was (and i doubt he was) it would be better than other rappers going over there trying to scam them on crypto and NFTs
Off topic, but when I was in Egypt the interpreters we're asking me if I knew these black fiancial gurus from ATL that we're making rounds . They were huge and hosting seminars in "forex trading" to the locals. Tour guide girl had bought it all up like these fools were warren buffet. I never laughed so hard as I did when she finally finished her explaination. :mjlol: :russ:

He played it incorrectly. You supposed to purposely speak loud with your American accent in all these African nations and the local police don't mess with you. Mean mug them while you at it.

I've used this strategy in both north Africa and east Africa. They don't wanna play those corruption games with Americans. I've actually saved the folk I've been riding with just because they were with me.

I'm not even kidding. If you move like you got Obama on speed dial, then the bullsht ends. Tried that sht with everybody from military goons, to local police and itworkss extremely well. They don't see you, they see the force of the US government behind you.
