I'm sure he's actually seen his fair share of street shyt without taking part in it himself, cause even if you're a good kid growing up in a bad area you'll witness some heavy shyt growing up, and from the interviews I've seen Ross actually seems like a chill guy who just wants to fukk dimes and get money, even if he's gotta put on a front to do so.

The only issue I have with him is the fact that he glorifies a lifestyle that for some people is a hard reality, and some kids who listen to him might not be able to discern fact from fantasy, and get subconsciously or consciously influenced by it.

Aside from that he still makes dope songs. I was listening to Rich Forever today and that tape's still fire.

To be fair, I ain't never got the feeling he's a sucker either though, nor entirely unfamiliar with what he raps about. Does he exaggerate? Of course. Embellish? Definitely. Full of sh!t? 65% of the time, just like 90% of the rap game with talent. If a rapper talks that same sh!t and is azz on the mic, I'm more inclined to believe that same artist is more authentic than 90% of the rap game. Regardless, it's just b entertainment at the end of day. WWE, Boxing promotion before the actual scrap, same as MMA, etc..

Exactly breh. At the end of the day it boils down to are you entertained? Cube is light years ahead of WC, but it dont take a rocket scientist to figure out who was really with the sh!ts. Same with Mobb Deep and Noyd, same with CMW and Boom Bam &Chill, same with the Dungeon Family and Cool Breeze, same with DJ Quik and Mausberg, same with Nas and Lake, etc.. It ain't rocket science, especially if you're a man and not a kid. Still at the end of the day, the music is what counts. That's what leaves a legacy. If a n!gga is authentic, thats a bonus, but we shouldn't expect 100% authenticity.

Elton John is gay as ever, and still one of the greatest songwriters ever. Quite a few babies were made because of his talents. Barry White was obese, take his talent away and was a fat gangsta, yet the human population increased because of his talents. It's the same with Ricky Ross.
