Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Wale, and Omarion are named as defendants in a lawsuit filed by a British promoter claiming they received advance payment but never followed through with their performances.

Rick Ross has reportedly evaded court papers for as many as six months stemming from lawsuit filed by a British concert promoter.

Christian Ezechie, a promoter who says he’s coordinated concerts for artists like Usher, Busta Rhymes, and Missy Elliott, apparently coordinated for Ross, Meek Mill, Wale, and Omarion to perform at London’s Wembley Arena in 2012. Despite their prior agreement, none of the artists in question followed through but received as much as $100,000 in advance payment.

Ezechie filed his lawsuit in a New York federal court in October according to Page Six and has since been unable to get in contact with the defendants to deliver the papers. “Despite numerous and diligent attempts...we have been unable to locate the defendants,” Ezechie said.

Ezechie’s lawyers claim that a registered address for Ross is actually a UPS store and when a process server visited the rapper’s house in Miami he was unable to locate the artist. The court papers also allege that process servers have been “hesitant to serve him while he is surrounded by security guards” during show performances.

Are you serious?

If so, that's fukked up. ripped 100k off from dude, the guy probably had to refund people who bought tickets etc etc etc.

Not cool. I used to be friends with some promoters and when they lose money.. That shyt comes outta there pocket.. It's not like promoters are ballin. I'm sure they're makin more in hip hop, but still. The ones I knew, did it cause they genuinely loved putting on shows and contributing to the culture. And for an artist to just blow a commitment they made off like that and blatantly ripping off someone, not cool at all.

I understand canceling, but receiving payment then not even showing up? fukked up.

it was no fukks given from Rozays end. He postponed the MMG tour then just threw it in bushes for the Mastermind tour. I've known promoters too who have been left out of pocket by flaking artists. I know shady promoters exist but they are some real genuine ones out there on their grind. They, as well as the paying fans deserve a little respect.

They did it to the wrong nikkas lol. The uk niccas they had with them couldnt save them so another set of niccas came and whisked them away to a night of force clubbing and drinking, whilst being paraded on camera.:russ:
The promoters in that case didnt go through the court system they just waited till they got booked again to collect they money lol.

Trust he will get touched if he ever sets foot in the UK.

He was in the UK like yesterday or some shyt tbf.
Ross got robbed last time he came london, but its not connected to this afaik.

And this shyts old news...quickly skimmed the article little update I guess.

Original TMZ Article
Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Wale, Omarion and Stalley are being sued for allegedly bailing on a huge London concert ... but what's really interesting is who commanded the most $$$. So what's your guess?
First, a little background. The 5 rappers were supposed to perform Wembley Arena in London on Sept. 12, 2012. After the promoter advanced a big chunk of the fees, Meek Mill threw a monkey wrench in the works by trying to postpone the concert. They negotiated another date but everything broke down and now the promoter wants all the money back.

So back to the question. Who's the biggest dog. Here's what each rapper got as a fee:

-- Stalley: $5,500
-- Omarion: $12,000
-- Wale: $35,000
-- Meek Mill: $40,000

And the winner ....

-- Rick Ross: $100,000

The promoter also fronted $93,281.26 for flights and other expenses. Apparently Rick needed a big seat.
