Hilarious, dudes in these threads constantly making excuses for Ricky Rubio, scrub has been playing pro-basketball in Spain since he was 14 & still can't shoot. Lil homie Brandon Jennings told you from the jump Rubio was over-hyped!

Rubio is overrated Eurotrash! If it were any other PG in the NBA with his garbage stats and overall performance, they would be riding the bench by now.
Sorry, but Rubio is nothing special and at best a C grade PG in my eyes who should be considered more of a decent role player than a potential all star/top flight PG.
@tremonthustler1 I know he makes yall better, but that's mainly cause you don't have any real viable backups for him, any number of PGs would be better for you long term than him if he can't learn how to shoot. You simply cannot have a PG in the NBA now that is so anemic on offense that teams straight up don't guard him when he doesn't have the ball, last night vs the Thunder was a joke, anytime he gave up the ball the defense would sink down to protect the paint and basically leave him unguarded.
His offense is flat out disgusting, can't shoot and can't finish at the rim, you're basically playing 4 on 5 when he doesn't have the ball.
) I can even extend this to Brewer even though he didn't play PG. Sucked here TWICE but he's now a key acquisition for Houston. How do you explain it?

100% false. We've had guys that have looked better elsewhere that sucked here. I'm not gonna say Ridnour sucked. We just were never healthy enough to use him as a backup PG, but when he was the primary ball handler, we weren't as good. JJ Barea, looked solid on a title team in Dallas, comes here, sucks, goes back to Dallas, looks like a solid spark plug again.
Mo fukking Williams is a big reason why Charlotte is in the playoff hunt but when he was here, he made sure Wiggins didn't exist. And to top it all off, Flip still uses LaVine at PG (but none of y'all should be bytching about that since y'all think he's the next Westbrook and shyt) I can even extend this to Brewer even though he didn't play PG. Sucked here TWICE but he's now a key acquisition for Houston. How do you explain it?
Some of it is bad luck but truth be told, but it's hard to get good players here, so getting solid vet backups is not easy. We'll probably overpay another PG this summer only to trade him in February. Just how shyt goes.
But I get everyone is so invested in his failure (if it has ANYTHING to do with me,y'all need to grow the fukk up because I can't for the life of me see what you guys get out of it. I hope some of y'all can actually grow a set and explain your reasoning for this)
Accoring to Mike Penberthy his shooting coach, his shot will get worse before it gets better because he has to re-learn how to shoot. It's not gonna change overnight, but he has time. In the meantime, there are MUCH MUCH bigger problems in this organization than what Ricky does shooting because if he's not on the team you got nothing. And I dare ANYBODY to give me the blueprint on how you get rid of Rubio and get better. Not only is it not possible, you're entrusting idiots to figure that out
at best.Fam, look at the names you're siting, JJ Barea, Luke Ridnour and Mo Williams, of those 3 Mo is far and away the best but even he's justat best.
I understand all that, however moving forward your team can never be near the top of the league with a PG that is so terrible on offense, he's going to be a liability moving forward and with the NBA moving towards offensive minded PGs having a guy that is legit the worst shooter ever at the 1 is unacceptable. He makes you better, but would you be any worse with guys like Ty Lawson, Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight etc, guys that have actually led their teams to winning records and are paid roughly the same as Rubio?
We're talking about a guy that has played pro ball since he was 15 or so, right? The phrase I'd never want to hear about a 24 year old PG that has been a pro for nearly a decade is "He's re-learning how to shoot". Unfortunately I don't think anybody would trade for him without giving up players, PGs like him are going the way of the dinosaur, cut your losses and take a Mudiay or Russell, package him with LaVine/Bennett and keep it moving.
I tried to cut him some slack but he's been a professional way too long, and watching the Wolves play with him on offense is 4 on 5 basketball where teams sag off him and basically give him open looks.
