All these c00ns give the same Thomas Sowell talking points. The debunking is simple. Because welfare gave more money to single mother than married couples, people like Sowell and Elders believes it makes it easier for men to leave a pregnant women or a wife and mother he no longer wants, because the the welfare system will take care of them. From this in the 80s Ronald Reagan created the "Welfare Queen" stereotype of black women having more kids to generate more wealth from the Welfare system. Even if you assume that all to be true, and it wasn't. Republicans drafted up legislation called the "Contract for America" that drastically downgraded welfare in the US. Bill Clinton signed it into law in 1994. Welfare over the past 29 years simply doesn't discourage men from staying with their baby mamas anymore than Onlyfans and Pornhub does.

What C00ns like Sowell and Elders always downplay is the role of Nixon's War on Drugs. It was specifically designed to "Antagonize Blacks and Hippies" according to John Erlichmann, Nixon's head of domestic policy. From that we got Biden and Strom Thurman's Crime Bill, and California's 3 strike rule. Millions of black men are incarcerated every year due to the war on drugs. You'll never hear those two talk about Gary Webb and how he helped expose the CIA project of funding the Nicaraguas Contra rebels, allowing them to smuggle cocaine in to black neighborhoods. It explains why the crack epidemic was so bad in the 80s. So we got millions of blacks being locked up, separated from their kids, but C00ns want to blame a Welfare system that doesn't exist in the form they portray. 6% of black men can't vote due to prior incarceration. Let that sink in, but Elder will tell you there is no such thing as systemic racism.

Yea I watched the first 10 mins, sat back down and watched the rest. Frankly nobody on there, was booksmart/educated enough to pushback on his talking points. Definitely needed an educated Umar type brotha up there. He was beating those clowns in the head with statistics (and was sharp, I'll give him that).

Once he came with stats, they needed to go deeper than the surface, instead of pointing their fingers at white ppl, and being unable to articulate their talking points. If you ask me, Elder smoked their boots.

I watched 20 minutes and amazed how many people on here don't see the game being played. Once Larry starting quoting stats (even out of context) the breakfast clubs hosts started blaming racism and white people. That was the response he wanted. Conservatives know there are blacks tired of hiring that and folks like Larry is there to sell conservatism. No different than when they send folks like Ben Shapiro to college campuses. You need folks need to wake to game being played. Larry isn't there to debate. He's there to spread the ideology of right-wing conservatism.

God forgive me as Im about to say something I'd thought I'd never say, but he is right on one issue with is the family in the black community. I don't disagree that if you don't have a strong family foundation, it will have a lot of down stream bad effects. It's not 100%, but it is something that has a big effect.

Family and home life will always matter and have more impact than any government action. I don't think we can control the "systems", yet. But we can control this. Why not start by focusing on fixing the things that are under our control.
