Rihanna will soon get one of the many things she deserves – a street named in her honor. Her hometown in Barbados has announced plans to name a street after the superstar, as the local newspaper
Nation News reports.
The Barbados Ministry of Tourism announced on October 13 that Westbury New Road, a street in the town of St. Michael where Rihanna grew up, will be renamed Rihanna Drive. The renaming ceremony is set to take place on Barbados Independence Day, November 30. Rihanna is expected to attend the unveiling of the new street name.
