It's written for the purpose of being something that girl can identify with . . even if the thoughts never crossed her mind on her own accord, she comes across these types of thoughts in the song and she will instantly connect to them because it gives her a moral leg to stand on in her identity. The success of this song both results in and depends on this ideology being adopted and introjected into it's audience
