:wow:

Rikishi was my dude back in the day. I started watching as a kid during the attitude era and always loved Rikishi. Everything was awesome about him. He had a great look, an awesome signature moveset and would put on decent matches all the time. Not to mention the swag the dude had :wow:

Dude was over as **** too for someone who never quite made it to that main-event level (was so close though :bryan:). Those pops he used to get back in the day (I know crowds were red hot in this era anyway, but still gotta give the big guy credit, those pops were legit).

Oh and the way he used to spin in the air after recieving a clothesline was incredible :ohlawd:

He deserved atleast one run with the WWE strap :blessed:

The stink face was one of the most over moves at the time, and when the divas do it is just :wow:

Rikishi was one of my favorites. He was so agile for a big man. He was ready for that main event push, when he was put in matches with the top guys he was just as over as every single one of them.

i look back at that title match he had with trips on smackdown and i ask should he have gotten the title that night. he was OVER as fukk and that was his peak but was he world title material? i don't know about that one. i hated the heel turn, shyt made no sense.

Today is actually Rikishi's birthday, he's 48.

@AJW Is that why you created the thread, or just a coincidence?

Anyway, yup, great athlete for a big man.

Thinking about it, it was how bad Rock was getting tamed. When he was with the Nation, it was all about Black Excellence. :pachaha:Then, when Rikishi stated in his promo that he did it for the Rock, because Rikishi wanted to ensure a Minority won the WWF Title :skip: Rock was like :whoa: Rikishi wanted to finish the job, and make sure Rock wasn't held down. What did Rock do, he played that shyt like he could do it on his own.:dahell: When up to that point, Rock kayfabe couldn't beat Austin cleanly. :heh:

Complete coincidence, man. I've been going through the whole WWF libary of 2000 (Raw's, Smackdown's and PPVs) and it just reminded me of how good he actually was so I made the thread. The pops he gets are crazy. He definitely coulda had a run with that strap I think.
