According to
Snoop Dogg and other rappers from Long Beach, Calif., Bad Azz has passed away.
On Monday night (Nov. 11), Snoop, Daz Dillinger and others used their social media accounts to announce Bad Azz's death and
memorialize the late MC who well known among The Dogg Pound Gangsta Crips. The dedications came pouring in after fellow West Coast rapper Kokane used his Facebook page to announce Bad Azz's purported death.
Bad Azz reportedly passed away while he was in custody at Riverside County's Southwest Detention Center. According to the jail database, the rapper had been arrested and charged with a felony on Nov. 8 and was expected to be in court on Nov. 13. As of this report, his death or the circumstances surrounding his purported passing haven't been confirmed.
Bad Azz frequently collaborated with Snoop Dogg in the early 1990s. He was also signed to Doggystyle Records.
Since reports of his death spread the internet last night, a slew of artists have paid homage to Bad Azz. Along with Snoop and
Daz, KXNG Crooked, Vince Staples, Glasses Malone, Memphis Bleek and other rappers have eulogized the rapper.
“Damn,” Snoop captioned a photo of Bad Azz. “R. I. P. To my young. D. P. G. L. L. G. L. B. C. Crew original @badazzlbc gone 2 soon.”
