He had great lessons that should be taught at home

This is my main message - My parents were Rastas (and one is a teacher!)

I'm against getting knowledge of self in They Schools (c) dead prez.

It's not a popular opinion (especially not here on The Coli), but one can't trust the enemy to teach one's about their Blackness...

But a lot of these parents need to learn about their Blackness....

Damn, one of the few advocates we had to counter "the agenda" against Black boys.

We just lost Neely Fuller not too long ago, too.

We losing the recipes.

Anybody know who's continuing the work of these scholars in our generations?

& I'm not talking about "entertainers" like Tariq or Umar, either :stopitslime:

the genealogy of black academics and black studies departments that sprouted a Dr Kunjufu are being cut out of the academy. These fields helped produce the luninaries people love to name (but not really engage) such as Dr Clarke Dr Amos Wilson etc and well beyond

Black studies had to be forced into universities (literally with guns at its inception) and they have been getting consolidated and or completely eliminated for a while now.

The academy been on some censorship narrow spectrum shyt, Trump is just the current spectacle. Refer to what happened to Dr Curry. aint none of this new

and the black public is lightweight participating in this elimination as general discourse has grown dismissive of any academic venture that isnt stem related. We'll see how that plays out... im not optimistic

Pardon the tangents..
