Rise of the Machine- We will all be unemployed soon enough
I look forward to the day I don't have to work for a living.![]()
true. but you have to look at it like this. lets for fun that this thing panned out perfectly for all of us and basically we had all our basic needs met and some extras.you shouldn't.
work keeps man humble, even jesus worked.
people that were handed everything they have are usually miserable inside. paris hilton was a prime example. billionaire princess / drug addict.
the oligarchs of the world would have hundreds of millions of people exterminated via germ warfare before they'd submit to that vision of the future.....true. but you have to look at it like this. lets for fun that this thing panned out perfectly for all of us and basically we had all our basic needs met and some extras.
so thats one big bag of stress gone from everyone.
what are thieves going to steal for if they have exactly the same stuff everyone else has? now kleptos have a problem thats different.
killers gone still kill. so you still need a cop or two or a robo-cop .
you will still have a lot of people who were born with depression that need help talking to professionals as well as just people. now imagine how many people have more time on their hands to be there for these types of people. part of that issue is a feeling of loneliness. and "nobody cares". well now your parents got all the time in the world to see about you and hang with you...see what you up to.
it would probably be a lot less drug doing on one end because the immediate stress of having to earn more and more is then gone. on the flipside the boredom for some that dont find their new niche could lead them to getting fat binge eating and on drugs.
Basically if the stress of having to pay the bills is gone. The best thing we could do is fellowship with one another. and just hang out. science can still be done and we can still look for new things to improve upon. you can now learn for the sake of learning. not because you need to learn to get a degree or diploma so you can get a job to make money to pay the bills.

absolute nonsense yet againgetting rid of jobs won't eliminate stress. there's no way to eliminate stress. even boredom can lead to stress. life can never be perfect no matter how far advanced our technology is.
stress is healthy, it keeps us humble. the rain helps us to appreciate the sun.
i don't expect life to hand me everything. that's not how nature works. animals need to hunt, they need to gather food. it doesn't just fall from the sky. you have to work for the things you want/need.
