I feel that comedy has always been raw and offensive and comedians/actors get a pass as long as it was legit funny.

“Never go full retard” is one of the greatest quotes of all time and it’s become my mantra in life. It works in every situation.

Just for that quote alone he gets a pass:yeshrug:

That movie was overrated as fukk and boring

I hated this movie first time I watched it. Thought it was fukking stupid. One night I came home smoked a spliff and it all just clicked. Now I can watch sober/blitz and it’s just as funny.

Give it another shot. :yeshrug:

I remember seeing this in theaters back in 2008, after I read some positive reviews, and was less impressed than the reviewers were. I thought it must have been fun to make, but as a movie, in the theater, there was a laugh or five from me, but a lot of forced jokes, and over the top scenarios, a very loud and messy movie. Not my type of comedy. I never though any of the memorable parts were as funny as everyone else seemed to think.

Doesn’t make it any less funny today as it did back then. People are overly sensitive, in no way was he making fun of black people he was making fun of whites trying to act black and it was god damn hilarious
There’s no excuse, with the historical context in its rear, for blackface to be performed by anyone. :francis:

Basically.

Comedy is not supposed to be offensive, but, abrasive to common norms.

That's why dudes like @Buckeye Fever are so hilarious.
