The way people talked about Robert Downey Jr. it always sounded like he was a working-class white guy on the down and out who managed to become successful later in life after overcoming alcoholism and drug addiction - as opposed to a rich trust fund clown with Hollywood connections who let the fame get to his head and basically bounced from rich and famous to even more rich and famous
