It had some cool moments, it just felt bare bones overall coming off of what Leigh did with The Invisible Man. The Dumpuary release made a lot of sense in retrospect.

Blumhouse always been a crapshoot, as with any studio, but I’ll argue they haven’t been pushing the creative envelope like they used to either. Their model of putting out low budget popcorn horror makes for easy profits, though I fear it’s also leading them down a path of complacency.
