Above the fray.
Nah, some people just want a manicure without a lot of the hassle. I usually go by myself and don't engage in too much small talk. I'm there for nails, not gossip and alladat other stuff. I get dipping powder on my natural nails anyway so it's not for me but I understand the concept.

I think you are underestimating the amount of people who are becoming unsocialized. ALOT of people walk around and dont even want to interact with people, lol.. Its getting weird out here.. And I hear that type of stuff from women more than men actually even though they are more socially inclined.

Yeah, I've cut my own hair for years.

But seeing how people were risking life to go to barbershop at different stages of the pandemic, even when everybody was home, reinforced my views about the functions that barbershop/salons serve.

Don't see this taking off. I imagine that getting nails done is as much about socializing as going to the barber shop is. But that ladies schedule appointments together, with their friends.

I also think that it temporarily boosts a woman's ego, being tended to like that.
A lot of women just want their nails done and don't care about the other stuff. Once they get an affordable home model it's gonna be super popular with career women. And from there all you need is the right product placement and cosigns to get young chicks on board.

Salons and nail places will still exist. It's not disappearing overnight and probably won't disappear at all for the reasons you state. But that's a lot of money that will be taken out of the market.

don’t women usually get their nails cut and something done to their cuticles as well during a manicure. The machine isn’t doing that.

That shyt gonna poke hole in someone’s finger :skip:
Korean merchant business associations will hire a plant to say she got injured by the machine, and file a lawsuit. The bad publicity will discourage others from trying the machines.

Oh, y'all thought business interests will stand by and potentially get money taken out of their pockets?
