Nicole’s vocals are light years beyond hers... in my opinion...

Nicole’s vocals are questionable. She almost has the raspiness of a Lela James but she’s kinda light on the soul. Her chest voice sounds like your run of the mill rapper-singer. I can’t compare her to today’s artists b/c most are trash. Even with the production, I can even recall the song.

Like I said, I want to hear more from her. I like this song. You may be right though, the production may carry this song but I think she definitely brings the vocals. I also think she can bring some authenticity into her music by writing and singing about growing as a mixed race girl in a majority white world.

I gotta be honest here. I’m not in no way, shape or form interested in this story. It’s just not the way I start my mornings.

If you love hip hop, you'll like this I think. The drums stand out on a lot of tracks...and there are some great samples(hip hop fans will recognize)
