Who has the better roster? When I think of GOOD, I think trendy new wave niche hipster Hip Hop. The recent signings seem to go in the direction of capitalizing on the 16-23 year old range who want to have easy sing along emo vibes and dress like Kanye, Travis & Co. It's more about an image and a shell of a lifestyle than it is music. They have Pusha T, Big Sean and Travis Scott and Kanye as their main guys and Desiigner seems to have some heat, but his overall worth remains to be seen.
Then we have Roc Nation which has more elite level MCs with a broad range of styles on and off the mic. You have the leader/big homey Hova The God, resume speaks for itself. J Cole who is very successful right now and Jay Electronica who has the world waiting with baited breath, but still waiting nonetheless. They recently signed Vic Mensa who seemed to be more of a GOOD style rapper but apparently he saw something at RN that meshed better with where he wanted to take his career. When I think of Roc Nation, I just think of better quality realer music and artistry. In comparison to GOOD, which I said before seems to be about portraying this pseudo hipstery fashionista but I also can rap vibe, Roc Nation just seems more stable. I don't know who else they're going to officialy add to their label. I know they have a few under their management but I just feel like they represent something more real.
What ya'll think?
