You can kinda go with some of Guns & Roses I guess since Slash part of that group. Use Your Illusion I and II are really good tho Axl Rose is a jackass. Slash one of the greatest guitarists, I guess check out the song November Rain and you'll hear the solo from him on there, 5:22 mark
Listen to red hot chili peppers if you like this. This the worst kind of rock btw. Go listen to the strokes, weezer, rooney etc. If you want real rock (alternative rock)
