Evil Dee just said him and Walt are the only black people on their block now because all the dudes from back in the day who spent time f*cking up their own hood had to leave because they can't afford to live there anymore. He said they kept their mother's house because the family owned it, but it came from working regular jobs and not wildin' outside and tearing up their own neighborhood.

I don’t think gentrification can be blamed on them. That's not their fault.
What's wack is how they treated their own hood, but then when the hood was done with them, they blame gentrification. Brooklyn is a good example. Especially Flatbush. There's still mad black homeowners from way back there. They're not going anywhere anytime soon. But if you spent time f*cking up your own block, and not investing in it when you could have, then that is on you when you have to leave.
