He's going to be seeking a max deal though, he won a ROTY, that's going to be his Agent's selling point. I don't think Thomas can be a 6th man, without him they don't have a PG, and I think they feel Thornton is better for playing with Cousins since he doesn't always need the ball to be effective (screens/spot ups). They have Thornton locked into a resonable contract for the type of production he gives them, I think the ship has sailed for Reke in Sacramento for a lot of reasons, the biggest is that he just doesn't fit well with Cousins.

IMO, there should be like some sort of rule to achieve or get a max contract in the NBA. But, it won't ever happen. As good as Thomas and Thornton are on the offensive end, Reke is much better defensively than both of them. Reke isn't a world beater on the defensive end, but he has gotten a lot better. With Reke as the PG, he creates a lot of match up problems against other PG's due to his speed, length, and his ability to attack the rim is still at an elite level that no one else on the squad could do. I still think Reke and Cousins can be very productive together. Smart needs to put him at the 1 and not moving him all over the place. He was ball dominant, but he has gotten better playing off the ball, even though his jump shot has been broken for his whole career, but he still as a lot more potential than anyone in the backcourt for the Kings imo. But, we will see though what happens with Reke, but as good as he is, imo Cousins should be the first option on the team. Cousins has som much potential, I don't think he knows it. Like no joke, at times I think his ceiling could even be as high and as good as Moses Malone from the highlights and few games I have seen of Moses Malone. He still needs to get better on defense, but he has massive amounts of potential, more than Reke.

Honestly I was sleep.

Lowery for Evans:

Lowry is an upgrade at PG is one of the best defending PGs and will allow the Kings to start Thornton at the 2 and they can address the 3 and 5 with those picks.

Evans is very talented but is not a number 1 type guy and needs a change of scenery.

14-16 for 5:

If the kings aren't sold on whichever players falls out of the top 4 (Barnes/Robinson/MKG) then they should trade down. They can pick up guys like Royce, Moultrie, Henson, Ross, PJ III.

I would do this trade if I were both teams. Now I wouldn't deal for D Howard if I were the Rockets without a guarentee. I think they can make a move for Josh Smith and maybe put together something for Pau still.
