i just got Rocksmith really, really cheap on a steam sale during the break. I need a guitar though.

I'm a classical trained pianist, so I can read music. I just don't know a damn thing about guitars. What do you all use for the program?

I have an Epiphone electric guitar
Rock Smith is pretty dope since it does a good job of teaching you the basic chords with a guitar hero like approach.
Input lag might be a problem for you with the TV that you have but if you were able to play rock band I would imagine you'll be OK still something to consider though

Thanks

I'll be playing it off my PC and 5K monitor, so no lag problems there. :whew:

You might find playing with headphones more pleasing. Without an amp electric guitars don't sound great. The dull sound of the metal strings might be distracting. Headphones or turn the speakers loud enough to drown out the sound of the strings.

Dapped for truth. I got a new controller with the 3.5mm jack and I've noticed my playing get 10 times better.
