WHO CARES ABOUT NUMBERS?
AN ALBUM THAT SELLS 10 COPIES THAT SOUNDS GOOD WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER THAN THE ONE THAT GOES DIAMOND AND SOUNDS LIKE shyt.
Listen, I see you're angry but that's simply not true. An album that goes Diamond has achieved cultural status for the large part, the artist is going to go one to sell out a world tour, when the tour cycle ends they'll be demand for they will begin to go back to work in the studio and there will be a demand for their next project all along the way.
An artist that sells 10 copies, is going to have to struggle to justify their existence. Probably won't be able to put much into production, mixing, mastering. Go ahead and support the guy who sold 10 copies but there's a lot more that went into that diamond album . . and it's what your friends will be talking about and culture at large-part
