ROH World Champion (spoilers)

I just saw a stream of the recent title bout between Briscoe and Jay Lethal. This Brotha has come a long way from his lower-card status in TNA.

He can wrestle and he can perform. But most importantly, he can do so without being compromised as a c00n or a thug.

When Jay Lethal pinned Briscoe for the ROH World Title...I realized that I didn't need to watch WWE for the rest of the year.

He was allowed to show how much he's grown. He is a performer and a worker, and no one is undercutting his development.

While this doesn't mean that we are in a new era for the sport, we should celebrate the fact that we are in a period of growth.

I have my Black world wrestling champion now, and he's a man.
