Saban and Stoops are friends going back to Stoops father. And Saban even recruited Mark Stoops when he was in college.
He knows what Stoops meant by the comment and it was taken out of context by the media...and whatever the case, it's true. Look at the amount of scoring in the SEC now that there's more Pro-caliber QBs. And AJ McCarron was was actually going to go to OU up until the last day he switched for Bama.
Anyway....
My prediction for the game is simple. Physicality. Whoever is more physical up front is going to win. And even with that, we're going to have to pull out the entire arsenal of RB's and even QB's to stay in it....we've gotta compete up front while and also be able to spread them out. Maybe a WR reverse...I hope we dont run those silly screen passes b/c I can see a Bama DB breaking and pick-6 ing. But basically our kids are gonna have to play, for one night, the game of their lives and then hope we get a couple of lucky breaks. And hopefully our coaches didnt make the mistake of relying solely on what Auburn did as a blueprint, b/c after a month Saban & co have probably fixed that.
Other than the injuries, which we should be used to by this point, we have no excuses and are rolling in full of positive momentum closing out the season. If the coaches do their job and the players play hard, I'll be ok with seeing how it plays out.
