I remember my 1st time watching this as a kid (yea as a kid) and the the images sticking in my head smh. For me this movie was an emotional roller coaster. I was happy seeing black folks owning all the land and being successful and prospering, I was extremely angry at the extreme hatred and racism from the cacs, and I was sad/upset seeing all my black folks being slaughtered like animals. The fact that that massacre really happened makes me sick

This film had a real big effect on me as a kid. I salute John Singleton for giving us this great, underrated classic:salute:

Does anyone have any thoughts on Rosewood? Or any other movie that sent u on an emotional roller coaster?

They should do a movie about Greenwood,Oklahoma which was the BlackWallstreet that Game named his label after. It would be kind of redundant but if they stuck to the facts it could be more powerful than Rosewood which was a damn good movie.

I don't think theirs a director out there who would do Black Wall Street justice. John Singleton doin it wouldn't be a good idea since he of course already did Rosewood.
