Dope battle, both came through with heat. I love a good trap joint as much as I love a good soulful beat so it was pleasure to listen to this match up, but i think DBR edged it out on the mix. Just a lil bit cleaner, although DJ has improved with his mixing cuz his beats used to be a lil on the loud side, even though they were fire and I loved them. Good move into the right direction.

You know what if you get a hook on that and that can be pushed to major artists that beat is huge. team up with a writer on the coli like @LauderdaleBoss or another person you work with. Ask them write a hook and record it (copywrite it) and well we can have it sent to Roc nation if you want, that track smacks.
@DJ Mart-Kos I know you've been working diligently on the volume. It's still a little to loud, but it's getting there I can see you are putting in a lot of effort to get the mix better. Like I said before the beat is a good one and you have good transitions throughout. it's still a little too loud. but keep working on the mix and you will get there, even if it just takes more beats. Ear fatigue is real.

I understand what you mean.
And Ear Fatigue is really really real, it's the reason my mixes keeping fuing up.
Maybe it's still just slightly too loud though but i personally like it Loud.

That DBR track slaps, and I dont even fukk with trap like that but I can appreciate the aggression ... the sliding bass, main melody with the counter melody overlapping is absolutely fire, its clean and hits hard.
Mart-Kos track is something unique, can't say I've ever heard production like this anywhere else, I remember listening to one of his tapes a while back and they way he mixes synths with samples is crazy. That vocal sample is beautiful and floats in and out of the melody, drumwork is fire and sounds mixes well with the melody to me.
Man, I can't technically fault any one of these beats so I just have to go with what I think is the more unique and creative track and for me thats Mart-kos.
