Onigumo beat is real good just a tad repetitive. Producingfire came through with a true banger and Def put more work in his beat so he get my vote .

Majors props to both contestants :salute:

Felt like @Onigumo had the feel but @producingfire had the better beat. Good job on both ends

My thoughts fell somewhere in between here initially. I was going to go with PF by split decision, breh has been chopping heads. But something about O's beat was bothering me but in a good way. I had to rewind it again and my imagination got to me picturing it being replayed live. A cat like prime Roy Ayers would kill that main melody on the Vibraphone :wow:. I od'd on jazz over weekend so my thoughts on something different right now:myman:. It was a difficult vote as is so I used live play as an instrument for my decision.

As much as PF killed it with the variation and transitions .. and man he killed it ...

Onigumos beat just sent my head nodding straight away, like instantly the vibe was there. The vibraphone thing going on with the other layers of sounds are intertwined so dopely that even though you could say it was slightly repetitive, to me it wasnt because I like sitting there and just analysing every different sound I'm hearing and how it mixes in.

For this reason I was able to sit and listen to the full beat on repeat without it getting repetitive to me

This was mad difficult to chose from but for this one I just had to go with vibes and I'm impressed with the mesh of sounds I was hearing from Onigumo .. I felt the mix was just slightly more crisp too.

One thing I have learned about a beat battle this go around is that a good melody an drums isn’t enough to win this type of competition. It takes more, and for that @producingfire had delivered all tourney.

solid performance by O - shyt is dope I really like it salute

:patrice: Onigumo's had a little more personality imo, as a composition though PF's beat felt more developed. Hard choice, I went with PF but in a cypher setting I'd prefer the bounce on Onigumo's. Good battle
