I grew up in a very dangerous area.Boston and New England brothers speak on it. I know Farahkhan grew up there after moving away from The Bronx.
How’s the area?
How bad hasn’t gentrification taken over?
Is it more than 40% black today?
Are most of the blacks there from the Carolinas/Virginia?
nah that's maine they not that big over hereBig Somali population there too.
there's not real middleclass stronghold in boston you kinda have to go to Milton or Randolph for thatWhat’s a middle class neighborhood in Boston that is black? Names?
I guess an equivalent to Southeast Queens?
From what I saw in matterpan it didn’t look like a middle class area, or at least the section I went to.
homeless is increasing so I dunno. the mcdonalds by bmc has a huge homeless population just surrounding that area, its actually quite sadAlot of gentrification going on in Fort Hill. I see white folks living there life out here. It's still a majority black neighborhood though. All our murals and art still decorates the neighborhood. Black Jesus statue still stands even though white folks are living around the statue. Dudley Square is still cracking with new development. Tropical Market has a brand new beautiful building. It's looking good out here in terms of business. The fiends and homeless folks along Melnea Cass is crazy though. That's Boston's very own skid row.
lol they not doing that in Dorchester, it's been getting real hot over thereLots of development. Still Black, but I see more and more White joggers, which means they are feeling safe and increasing in numbers. I saw a gang of them joggers by the Mosque just care free. Hopefully, Black people retain their ownership and don't just give the neighborhoods back. Let us reap the benefits of the improvements.
