Sometimes I think these guys really just want to be nice or just ride the wave instead of burning a bridge by being honest because Jermaine really isn't lyrical. Kendrick is a great talent and artist with a great flow but he doesn't contain any metaphors, similes, alliterations nothing.

content does make you lyrical to an extent. What you're saying matters. Metaphors and fancy double patterns isn't the only form of lyricism. It's the most complex, perhaps. But Chuck D was lyrical and he wasn't like an Eminem flipping words and shyt
