NEVER have I felt so defeated before a season even began.

I guess the ONE potential bright spot for us COULD be pitching. If ANY of these bozos come outta Spring Training looking ready – in the vein of how b*stardo was a few years ago for us - then MAYBE we can be competitive. Lord knows there are a plethora of guys here who COULD give us some depth, IF they can pitch worth a damn.

But where will the hitting come from? We’re relying on Dom Brown and Ryan Howard for our power this year….and MAYBE Cody Asche. That’s not gonna get it done.

Can Freddy Galvis step up and play at an All-Star-caliber level (which he showed flashes of before he was suspended two years ago)? Can Ben Revere FINALLY hit a damn home run, or at LEAST turn into a double machine instead of a “singles/hit the blooper into a double play” machine?

Will Cole Hamels and Cliff Lee CONTINUE to be the best MLB pitchers in the league to NOT get run support? And how soon before Cliff Lee is gone? And more significantly, do YOU trust this front office to make the right trade and get back good value for him? For that matter, will their dumb asses also trade Cole, eventually?

And perhaps MOST importantly…WHEN THE HELL ARE WE GONNA FIRE THIS STUPID SON OF A bytch?!?

You must've just start fukking with the team when they got good. This team been a disappointment out of run we had a few years ago and 1993 this team been kinda whatever outside of it. I'm just hoping we not as bad but I'm not hopeful at all. Still love them though

My bad, I forgot about you. You were in our threads back on :hamster:, right?

Nah, been a longtime backer, just been SPOILED by our recent successes. There's no REASON we shouldn't still be elite, but Ruben screwed all that up when he didn't pull the trigger on certain moves THREE YEARS ago.

Plus, Charlie let Doc and Cliff pitch too far into games too long. He didn't have the balls to pull them out sooner, or he just acquiesed to the veterans, I dunno. Either way, he ruined both their arms, IMO.

We stuck with Ryan Howard and Chase Utley who are past their primes with their days being numbered :sadcam: Dom Brown fell off and disappointed last year :shaq2: We were able to rid ourselves of J-Roll but sadly of the trio of Howard, Utley and Rollins, Jimmy was probably the best. We pretty much stuck right now until the big contracts come off the books and we acquire more talent in our farm system.:manny: Idk how this nikka Amaro still has a job to be honest

Nah I wasn't on the :hamster:. Yeah I can tell you've been spoiled and forgot about what happened before lol. We still could be elite but we made moves for the present then and if they didn't work out like they didn't we were going to be fukked. I knew this awhile ago. I don't blame Charlie that much them dudes were probably going to get hurt anyway on some final destination type flow. I do agree with you that he should have pulled them out sooner at times though. We just held on to the core players too ling and haven't developed a farm system. Think about it. Who besides Brown is half way decent that came from our farm since the Rollins, Howard, Utley, Hamels era? That's the main problem IMO.

That's ok we rebuilding rueben didn't trade them players when he had the chance. The young guys are balling though Glavis, Hernerdes and we got like two or three players from the minors. This is a 3 to 5 year process. Utley the most overrated Phillie there is, is completely done Howard sucks too bad NL doesn't have DH.

I don't really like Galvis dude is all D no O IMO. I don't really follow the minors like, that but I heard we had a few dudes which would be a welcomed change for us. shyt last time we had a lot of good players come from the farm it was Utley, Howard, Rollins, Hamels and them.

Man Bobby Abreu had good numbers too and you see how people looked at dude so save this :dwillhuh: For someone else. Everytime I see dude he don't do shyt and I'm sticking to it. We can disagree though.
