Told yall blunts was for smoking rocks, and weed, that's hip hop little secret people don't like to talk about. Next to Zulu being full of bisexual killers, but entertainment itself is full of bisexual people

I feel sorry for people like dmx who had no idea how hard that fight would be. That party lifestyle fukked a lot of people up

Its just crazy how much lies is part of hip hop like that no limit doc. Suge was in prison, and never noticed master p according to Reggie Wright. These nikkas be lying they ass off
To be fair, back then the "laced" weed wasn't "promoted"
like that compared to now with exotic weeds, pills, lean .all those drugs
became some sort of branding
attached to so many young rappers.

Not all Zulu were not part of that bi or molestation situation but yes your right that drugs and homsexuality always been behind the scenes but wasn't promoted.

Riggie Wright makes sense including the snoop situation and master p. Couple things Reggie wright can be wrong like the situation with clad and mob James, or he was wrong on the pop smoke situation in how he got killed, and I lean towards Napoleon with how Stretch got killed and few other things but Reggie is cool. Wish him and Gene deal were cool as I like both dudes. Although I under why Reggie is upset Gene saying snitch to Reggie. I'd be mad too regarding him and his pop and weed charges . Hey Reggie believe Jim Jones a snitch. I don't think that's fair untill there's proof so hey. But shout out to Reggie and Gene though.cant wait for Gene book to drop.also DmX deserve a movie

True, but weed wasn't promoted in music at all, besides reggae, BUT weed was everywhere, I used to love the smell just walking down the street in brooklyn.

Whenever u seen where it was coming from, it was in joints. The first time I saw someone smoking a blunt I couldn't understand why would a young guy be smoking a cigar, I found out later, though

Rock's was the big thing in the NYC party scene, and blunts was how the hip hop heads smoked it. My issue is why didn't people in hip hop just tell the truth, and admit their mistakes, but I'm seeing this lying shyt is a common theme in hip hop. The same with dancehall, and reggae, they talked how they only smoked weed, but in reality was hitting rocks

I know shame plays a part, but I don't get why didn't people after them admit to what was happening, it might have helped slow down the addiction craze we have now.

I see your point. Yes weed laced with crack. I think even hardcore gangster violent lyrics was at a minimum back then as well. Also the ruanchy Cardi b types with the lyrics didn't exist back then I'm talking more so early 80's.
What's funny is that the folks I know that remove the blunt to add weed did it for the sake of doing it. I didn't see the alternative such as vaporizer or cigarettes type pre rolls. It became a style to use Dutch blounts.
Yeh I think as crack rolled along it became an immediate stigma.
The outspoken and branding of weed as oppose to using the word rarely came into motion early 90s.

Schooly D one of the pioneers for gangsta rap. I remember old interview on YouTube said he had the luxury in talking rapping more edgy topics cause he wasn't signed to a major record label.

It's amazing how 2Live Crew Luther Campbell fought the system for censorship imagine the saying in lyrics now wow.

I respect your point. With the opportunities now avenues for rappers to make money hope they don't blow it away on vices

Your on point with the Reggie wright master p and snoop situation

I like how he cleaned it up. He made it sound they both sat in the living room peacefully signing an agreement as if the manager was happy to do so. :lolbron:

Damme DMX had a rough life. To make a living robbing folks and being abandoned at an early age. He lucky he lived that long:mjcry:

There it is my dreams my fears
My words that constantly fall on deaf ears
'Cause it's all, goin on, in my life
Forgive me father for I have sinned (Yeah)
Cleanse my soul I'm ready to win let's begin
'Cause it's all, goin on, in my life
Please give me the strength to rebuke the devil
Give me the speech show the word that's heard on all levels

This is my life
Life of mine, live in the life of crime
That's what's up baby, ain't nothin fake about this
It's my motherfukkin' life

:mjcry:

in years of constant abuse of drugs , im surprised the amount of times he never colapsed into other type of problems until 2016.

Yeah. I believe the story is in X autobiography or a really old interview somewhere but before X got on he used to travel through the city battling nikkas. And told the story that when he met mysonne they battled on the 6 train from the first stop to the last stop going verse for verse. And they been cool ever since. X was always in the bronx since Yonkers is right there

On the great depression he had a bunch of bonus freestyles at the end of the cd introducing the bloodline members and then had two bonus songs one with mysonne and one with kasino.

I always wondered why these nikkas was on x first album (big stan, loose cannon and kasino) shouting ruff ryders and all that and then we never hear from them until 3 years later? I feel like it had to be some type of politics/disagreement for x to even attempt to start his own label

@Alvin added more in the edit lol
X wanted ownership in RR and was told No. So he started Bloodline.
