I can't believe I'm in here having debates with dudes saying Bryan has similar drawing power as Batista or Cena :wow:

Bryan has the potential and maybe we'll find out eventually. But if crowd reactions dictated ratings, PPV draw and merchandise sales Cena would be Curt Hawkins status. :heh:

Who the hell is saying D-Bry has a bigger drawing power than Batista or Cena? :wtf:

Bryan didn't do very well in the 3 months he was headlining, we can talk about why that happened (terrible booking, weak roster at the time, Randy being a horrible draw, etc.) but the fact is he didn't translate his overness in money.

BUT, he wasn't put in a position were he could succeed either. That's whats so crazy about this situation. A guy that is as over as Bryan would get every opportunity to get good results as a top guy. Plans would change, angles would be built around his strengths to give him a chance to translate those cheers in money. But for some reason that's just not the case with WWE and him, it's weird as fukk.

Like, if they feel Batista is a good draw. Why not book Batista vs Bryan? Why not give the most popular guy on the roster a spot against a "big star"?

How can people justify D-Bry not being in a big match by using his lack luster 3 month period as a main eventer, but at the same time be fine with Orton getting a big match when he has failed to draw anything for an even bigger amount of time than Bryan? :wtf: :mindblown:

We can use the NOC and Battleground buyrates plus the mediocre house shows attendance to argue that even though he is over as fukk, he can't draw money. But I can throw that Survivor Series DISASTER of a buyrate (lowest of all time) to prove that DB wasn't the main problem, that no one can draw shyt on top if the booking is as bad and uninteresting as it was from August to November.

Really, because Cena headlined with Punk the summerslam 2012 did significantly better then 2011 and last year. IDK even know why you are bringing up Cena anyway. This is not about him so lets not typically derail. Bryan and Sheamus will have a good match. Thats if they are even facing each other

No it didn't. Punk vs Cena in 2011 did even less than Bryan vs Cena and Punk vs Brock. And 2012 did way better than both 11' and 13'.

I just can't hold on to that Battleground number as a reason to not push somebody. Non-major PPVs are peaking at like 200-225k right now. It's a completely different business than it was in Batista's drawing prime, which is why they're giving away their shyt for 10 bucks a month now.

Not to say that the 130k is completely excusable. But Cena put up 140k at over the limit two years ago. Similar poorly timed, shytty PPV with a weak build. And as stated, Hell in the Cell was an increase.

You gotta give the guy the ball to truly know what he's capable off. Not the half-assed headlined PPVs with screwjob finishes. Let him run - during THIS time of the year, when it matters most.

I keep tryna tell 'em man... :snoop:

Trust the dirtsheets, brehs.

I thought they were wrong last year, and they were basically 100% right about Mania plans in December/January. It's looking like they're right again judging by last night. Sorry, little danja.

Brock vs Batista would seem like a good possibility and possible big draw, but if they do that then that leaves Taker with a B level opponent, because they won't do Cena/Taker. So Brock/taker and Batista/Orton is very likely.
